The Crow and the Pitcher: Towards decarbonisation and energy resilience of the museum sector
My PhD is within UCL’s Institute for Sustainable Heritage and Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering, combining my interests in both heritage and energy. My background is in Architectural Environment Engineering and I hold an MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering from UCL. I have previous experience working as an Energy and Sustainability Engineer within the built environment for a wide range of projects. Throughout my career, I have looked at sustainability from a broad perspective from health and wellbeing to whole life carbon and energy efficiency with a focus on UK policy.
My PhD looks to determine the opportunities for reducing energy demand within the museum through a wide of measures whilst ensuring the optimal environmental conditions for conservation, utilising the V&A as a case study.
My supervisors are Dr Scott Orr and Dr Sung-Min Hong, UCL and Melissa Painter and Mario Kokkoris, V&A.
